About Stadium TV

Stadium is a multi-platform sports network that broadcasts on digital television and the internet. Stadium offers a continuous linear feed that is disseminated across digital and broadcast channels, as well as on-demand (VOD) digital content that includes extra live games and events. Silver Chalice and Sinclair Broadcast Group have teamed together to create Stadium. The United Center in Chicago, Illinois, serves as the network’s headquarters.

Stadium’s website and various partners, as well as digital sub channels on broadcast television stations, provide the service as an over-the-top streaming service.

Sinclair stated on April 13, 2017 that ASN will be re-launched later that year as part of a collaborative venture with Campus Insiders owner Silver Chalice (which is also owned by the Chicago White Sox) and its online sports video service 120 Sports. The new business will be split into two parts: a linear program that will use ASN’s existing syndication and broadcast network, and a digital platform that will stream full-time online and via Twitter. 120 Sports would provide the venture with original studio and long-form content.

Stadium was revealed as the name of the new joint venture on May 1, 2017. Stadium was set to open in late July 2017, according to a report released on June 1, 2017. On August 21, 2017, the service became operational.

Sinclair CEO Chris Ripley stated of Stadium’s position in Sinclair’s expanding sports services in 2019, citing Sinclair’s purchases of Fox Sports Networks, a minority investment in YES Network, and the formation of Marquee Sports Network with the Chicago Cubs “That is going to be our national anthem. I don’t think it’ll be able to compete with FS1 or ESPN. With its maturity, it isn’t quite there yet.”

Stadium began to work with the renamed Bally Sports in the 2021 athletic season, including adopting its on-air visuals for football broadcasts.
